Research Programme and Faculty

The Ph.D. Programme MAINZ consists of three classes that build on research and training structures: 1) POLYMAT: Polymers in advanced materials; 2) MATCOR: Strongly correlated quantum systems – experiments and simulations with molecules, ultracold quantum gases, and materials with strong electronic correlations; and 3) IMPRS-PMS: The International Max Planck Research School for Polymer Materials Science. Each class provides a specific research programme for the scholars of MAINZ, while the Graduate School links these three classes together and joins forces of interdisciplinary faculty members.
