Lecture MAGNETISM by Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Elmers

Magnetism has recently become a vivid research topic involving the new areas spintronics, shape memory effects and nanoscience with a prospective large technological impact. The present lecture introduces into the field of magnetism from basic principles to recent new developments. Students should have a knowledge equivalent or equal to the level of the „Vordiplom“. Weekly exercises and short talks will be obligatory to get an „Übungsschein“.
